Found the One Ring in the orc caverns where Gollum also lived at that time. Played a riddle game with Gollum which Bilbo eventually won by asking what he had in his pocket. Barely escaped all the adventures with the dwarves and returned to the Shire carrying the One Ring as a treasure. It was many years later that Bilbo found out what the true nature was of the Ring and that was the beginning of the adventure his nephew Frodo had to undertake. After the War of the Ring, Bilbo leaves middle-earth together with Frodo, Gandalf, Elrond and Galadriel.
